Quinoa Breakfast Bowl
Updated: Mar 14, 2018

If I havent mentioned it before, I am a big fan of Quinoa. It's one of the best ancient grains you can nourish your body with. Here are a few facts about this little wonder grain. - It is one of the most protein packed foods to eat. Containing all 9 essiential amino acids.
- It contains twice as much fiber than any other grain.
- Quinoa contains Iron.
- It contains Lysine.
- Quinoa is rich in Magnesium.
- It's high in Riboflavin (B2)- Quinoa has a high content in Maganease.
It is a mighty universal grain. It's even great for breakfast! Here is my version of a recipe for Quinoa Breakfast Bowl:
1 1/2 tbs. agave nectar or your favorite sweetner
1/4 c. unsalted raw nut/nuts of your choice (I'm personally a fan of sunflower or pepitas)
1/2 tsp cinnimon (optional)
Mix ingredients together and stir a little
Add just enough water to let the grains swim. Sorry, I didn’t measure this part.
Microwave for 4 minutes *Imprortant* Make sure to use a bowl deep enough. When cooking grains, they tend to bubble over quite a bit. Once done, stir. Microwave again for 3 minutes. When done, cover with a plate in microwave and let sit for a 2-3 minutes.
add 1/4 c. of almond milk (or whatever your choice is)
Stir. X O - Enjoy!
